PERIODISTA: ¿Esta biblioteca es nueva?
BIBLIOTECARIA: No. La Biblioteca Palafoxiana nace en 1646 con una donación de cinco mil libros. Es la primera biblioteca pública de América. Hoy es un museo y también recibe a investigadores.
PERIODISTA: ¿Usted lee todos los libros?
BIBLIOTECARIA: No, y mis compañeros tampoco leen todo el fondo. Conservamos más de cuarenta y cinco mil volúmenes. Los estantes tienen tres niveles y reúnen muchas materias. Yo reviso datos y ellos también cuidan la sala.
PERIODISTA: Entonces, ¿qué hacen los visitantes?
BIBLIOTECARIA: Observan los estantes y conocen su historia. ¿Te gustan las bibliotecas antiguas? ¿También visitas museos de libros?
