Lucas works as a forest ranger in a big national park. Every morning, he starts his day very early. He always wakes up at five o'clock. The forest is quiet at this hour. Lucas drinks a cup of hot tea and eats some bread. He loves the peaceful morning.
First, he prepares his small green truck. He checks the water, the maps, and his radio. He usually leaves his small cabin at six o'clock. His dog, Max, always sits next to him in the front seat. Max loves the truck rides and always looks out of the window.
Lucas drives slowly through the tall green trees. He often stops the truck to walk on the small paths. He watches the wild animals carefully. He always counts the deer near the river. Today, he sees five deer. He writes this number in his small blue notebook.
