Dear Carlos,
Thank you for your cheerful letter and your beautiful drawing of Madrid. Your picture of the sunny square hangs on my bedroom wall.
My room is very quiet today. My desk faces our front garden, and our old cherry tree is covered in pink blossoms. My brother is in his room listening to his favorite folk music. In the garden, our dog sleeps inside its wooden kennel. My sister is at the library with her friends, working on their school presentation.
I love reading your descriptions of your city and your school. In my next letter, I will send you photos of our hometown festival.
