When the Storm Hit Our Camping Trip
I am Tom. Last Friday my friends and I camped by Pine Lake. We arrived at four o'clock and set up our tents near the trees. The sky looked clear when we started cooking dinner.
Anna was chopping vegetables while Ben built a small fire. I was filling water bottles when dark clouds appeared above the hills. We did not expect rain because the forecast looked sunny that morning.
Did you ever cook outside when the wind grew strong? We did not finish the soup before the first drops fell. Ben was stirring the pot when lightning flashed across the lake.
We ran to the tents because the rain started quickly. Anna was carrying plates when she slipped on wet grass. She did not drop anything, but her shoes were soaked within a minute.
