I hope you are well. I am writing because I missed your call yesterday afternoon, and I wanted to explain.
Yesterday I was working on a group report in the library from two until five. The room was quiet, and many students were reading near the tall windows. I was typing notes about our project when your name appeared on my phone screen.
I was searching for my headphones in my bag when the phone stopped ringing. After that I was focusing on a difficult paragraph and forgot to call back. I am sorry about that.
At five thirty I was walking to the bus stop with my classmate Marco. Rain was starting again, and people were opening umbrellas on the pavement. Marco was telling me about his internship interview when your message arrived.
