A Saturday When Plans Changed More Than Once

I am Claire. Last Saturday my partner Tomas and I hoped for a simple day in the city. We didn't know how many times our plans would change before evening.

We woke late and didn't rush breakfast. Tomas wanted to visit the new art market near the station, but rain started before we left the flat. Did we take umbrellas? Yes, we did, and we walked anyway.

At the market we didn't find the pottery stall Tomas liked online. Did we buy bread from a French baker? Yes, we did, and the smell followed us down the street. A musician played near the arch, and we stopped to listen for a few minutes.

After lunch the sky cleared. We didn't return home immediately. Instead we took a tram to the old museum district because Tomas didn't visit those galleries last year.
