Food Festivals in Italy From Spring to Winter
Italy has many wonderful food festivals during the year. In spring, many small towns celebrate the new vegetables. On a sunny Sunday in May, you can eat fresh artichokes at a local market.
The summer is very hot, so people like to eat outside. In August, villages have big dinners in the square. They start eating at eight o'clock and finish at midnight. Everyone shares long tables and eats pasta with tomatoes.
In autumn, the food changes. From October to November, there are many mushroom festivals in the north. People walk in the forest in the morning and cook the mushrooms in the afternoon.
Winter is cold, but the food is rich. On the twenty-fifth of December, families eat a large meal together. Do you have a favorite season for food?
