The Teacher Asked Them to Stay After Class
I am Omar. On Tuesday our English teacher Ms Reed asked four students to stay after class for a short meeting. She wanted to talk to us about a reading project for the last weeks of term.
Ms Reed asked me to close the door quietly when the other students left. She thanked us for staying and told us the project would be fun but needed careful planning. We sat in the front row with our notebooks open.
First she asked Tom to describe his idea about local history. Tom spoke clearly and said he would interview older neighbours near his street. Ms Reed liked the plan and told him to write three sample questions before Friday.
Then she turned to Priya and asked her to share her topic about school meals.
