We Will Meet You at the Station
I am Hannah. Last month my friend Claire visited our town for the first time. She travelled by train from Manchester, so my roommate Zoe and I planned to meet her at the station on Saturday morning.
On Friday evening Claire called me to confirm her arrival time. She asked me to text her if the platform changed because she had never used our station before. I promised I would message her when I saw the live board online.
Zoe asked me to pick up flowers because Claire loves bright colours. I bought yellow tulips at the market and wrapped them in paper at the shop. The seller smiled and told me to give them water when I got home.
Saturday arrived with light rain. Zoe packed umbrellas by the door and asked me to check the train app for delays.
