They Introduced Us to the New Manager
Interviewer: Welcome to the community centre podcast. Today I speak with three volunteers who met the new manager last month. Please introduce yourselves.
Lena: I am Lena. I teach beginner computer classes on Wednesdays.
Marco: My name is Marco. I help maintain the garden behind the hall.
Iris: I am Iris. I organize children's reading hours on Saturdays.
Interviewer: Tell me about the day the new manager arrived. Who met her first?
Lena: The chair of our board met her at the door and walked her through the building. He introduced us in the main office at ten o'clock. She smiled and asked us to call her Paula.
Marco: Paula shook hands with each of us and thanked us for volunteering. She asked me to show her the garden because she read about our vegetable beds in the newsletter.
