Subject: Six months in — quick update
Hi everyone,
I promised to write once I had settled, so here is a long overdue message from Barcelona. Since I had arrived in September, the city has surprised me in ways guidebooks had never mentioned.
Work at the design studio has been intense but rewarding. My team has completed three campaigns since the New Year, including one project that had started before I had joined. Clients have responded well to concepts we had refined during late-night brainstorming sessions.
Living by the sea has changed my routines. I have run along the beach every morning since October, even on days when rain had made the path slippery. That habit has replaced gym sessions I had paid for but had rarely attended in London.
Have I improved my Spanish? Slowly, yes.
