My Sister Had Never Visited London Before Last Year
I am Carlos. I live in Manchester, and my younger sister Elena had dreamed about London since she was a teenager. Until last year she had never visited the capital, though she had watched countless travel videos and had collected postcards from friends who had studied there.
When Elena finished university, I invited her to stay with me for a long weekend. She accepted immediately because she had saved money for months and had planned an itinerary before she had booked the train. I felt excited to show her places I had discovered after my own move.
On her first morning Elena said she had never walked across Tower Bridge at sunrise. We left early and reached the river while the city was still quiet. She photographed boats that had passed under the bridge long before tourists had filled the pavements.
