He Has Studied English Since January
Acquiring fluency in a foreign language demands patient commitment, consistent daily exposure, and courageous willingness to speak despite minor mistakes. At our local community language institute, adult learners from dozens of linguistic backgrounds attend evening courses to enhance their conversational English. Among our most dedicated classmates is Marco, an Italian civil engineer who relocated to Britain to work on major railway bridge infrastructure projects.
Marco has studied English intensively at our institute since January. When he first arrived in London nine months ago, he could understand written technical blueprints effortlessly, but conversational exchanges with British colleagues caused him immense anxiety. Since joining our intermediate study class, Marco has attended three evening grammar workshops every week and has spent an hour each morning listening to English news radio. His linguistic progress has astonished both his tutors and fellow students.
