Coach Notes: Who Has Been Improving This Season
I am Coach Rivera. Mid-season reviews arrived this week, and I want to share honest notes about players who have been improving steadily since autumn training began.
Midfielder Leo has been controlling the ball better under pressure. He has been practicing first-touch drills four mornings weekly, and teammates have been noticing cleaner passes during scrimmages. His fitness tracker shows he has been covering more ground each match than he was covering in September.
Goalkeeper Nina has been communicating louder with defenders. She has been studying video of professional keepers who have been organizing walls during free kicks. Coaches have been hearing her voice clearly even when crowds have been noisy at away games.
Forward Amir has been converting chances more consistently. He has been working with a shooting coach who has been adjusting his approach angle slightly.
