Hi Clara,
Thanks for suggesting the Lake District trip on the fifteenth. I have checked my calendar and I can join if we confirm details this week.
If the weather forecast looks stable, I will book the train on Tuesday evening. If prices jump, I will try an earlier departure on Friday night instead. If you prefer to drive, I will contribute to petrol and bring snacks for the car.
Gear is my main concern. If my boots still fit after last winter, I will use them without buying new ones. If the sole is worn, I will visit the outdoor shop on Saturday. If you have an extra waterproof jacket, I will borrow it rather than pack my heavy coat.
Food planning will help us save money. If we prepare sandwiches at my flat, we will avoid expensive café stops on the trail.
