Diary: What Was Done During the Office Renovation
Friday, 28 April. Reflecting on our four-week corporate renovation project fills me with immense satisfaction and relief. While our entire accounting firm worked remotely from home during April, our outdated fourth-floor headquarters was completely transformed into a modern collaborative workspace. Managing the construction schedule alongside contractors was exhausting, but seeing the final result makes every stressful moment worthwhile.
During the first week of April, all obsolete furniture was dismantled and donated to local educational charities. Non-load-bearing partition walls were removed by demolition crews to create an expansive, sunlit open-plan layout. Modern soundproofing panels were installed behind the drywall to minimize noise transmission between meeting spaces. Old fluorescent lighting grids were removed, and intelligent dimmable ceiling panels were fitted to optimize natural daylight throughout working hours.
The second and third weeks focused on technical modernization and interior design upgrades.
