Subject: Heating problem in flat 4B — please advise
Dear Mr Hughes,
I am writing because the heating in my flat has stopped working properly since Monday evening. I turned up the thermostat, but the radiators stay cold in the bedroom and living room.
On Tuesday morning I checked the boiler panel. A red light came on, then went off when I reset the switch. I looked up the manual online and tried the steps listed for low pressure, but the problem returned after an hour.
Could you please send someone to look into this? I work from home on Wednesdays and can let a technician in between nine and five. If that day does not suit, I can take time off on Thursday instead.
Also, the window in the bedroom does not shut fully, and cold air gets in at night.
