Weekend Chores With My Sister
I am Luis. My sister Clara visits on Saturdays, and we always split chores before lunch. This week the list looks long, yet separable verbs appear in almost every task.
We start in the garage. Clara asks me to take the recycling bins out and take them out to the curb. I pick the green bin up and pick it up while she pulls the blue one. After we set the bins out, we wipe our hands off on a towel and wipe them off because the handles feel sticky.
Inside, Clara turns the vacuum cleaner on and turns it on for the living room rug. I pick toys up from the floor and pick them up so the brush will not jam. When she finishes, she switches the vacuum off and switches it off with a loud click.
