Weekend Decisions and Outcomes
Saturday began with simple plans. I intended to clean the flat and cook soup; however, a sunny forecast pulled me outdoors. Therefore I packed a light bag and cycled toward the hills.
The trail was busier than usual. Families passed with picnic blankets; moreover, a charity walk added cheerful noise near the lake. In contrast, my preferred quiet bench sat occupied, so I continued to the next viewpoint.
At midday I checked messages. A friend invited me to a board-game café in town. Although I enjoyed fresh air, indoor social time sounded welcome. Consequently, I turned back early and locked the bike near the station.
The café was full but friendly. We played a strategy game for two hours; nevertheless, I lost twice without frustration. Furthermore, conversation shifted from work stress to holiday ideas. On
