Had We Started Earlier, the Report Would Have Been Finished
I am Jonas. Our research group was commissioned to evaluate water quality along the river that runs through three counties. The contract was signed in February, yet fieldwork was delayed because permits had not been issued on time. If we had begun sampling in March, the interim report would have been delivered before the summer floods.
Team members were told to calibrate every instrument before each outing. Sensors had to be checked, batteries were replaced, and logbooks were signed by two observers.
