Letter to the Housing Board About Night Noise
Dear Members of the Riverside Housing Board,
I am writing as a tenant in Building C to request a structured review of night noise protocols after six weeks of disrupted rest. I support the renovation program; however, recent scheduling choices have strained goodwill among residents who work early shifts.
Contractors begin drilling at six fifteen on two mornings each week. Moreover, metal carts roll through the courtyard before seven. For this reason, several nurses on our floor have asked security for temporary relocation options that do not exist.
I documented decibel readings with a calibrated phone app. Furthermore, I shared timestamps with the site manager, who acknowledged spikes but cited subcontractor autonomy. Nevertheless, the lease promises reasonable quiet hours; accordingly, tenants expect enforceable standards rather than apologies alone.
Some neighbors argue that progress requires sacrifice.
