Our Weekend at Home
On Saturdays, our family stays home and relaxes. My dad wakes up late, around nine o'clock. He reads the newspaper at the kitchen table. My mom cooks a big breakfast for everyone. She fries eggs and makes pancakes.
My sister Lily plays music in her room. She listens to songs on her phone. She sometimes sings along loudly. I watch cartoons on the television in the living room. I usually watch two or three episodes.
After breakfast, Dad washes the car in the driveway. He uses soap and a hose. Mom cleans the kitchen and puts dishes away. Lily helps Mom dry the plates. I sweep the floor in the hallway.
In the afternoon, we often visit the park near our house. Dad walks with us along the path. Lily rides her bike on the trail.
