We Walked to the Lake Yesterday

I am Leo. I live with my parents and my sister Ana. Yesterday we walked to Silver Lake. The weather looked sunny, but clouds arrived early.

We packed sandwiches and water bottles before we started. Mom packed fruit in a small box. Ana packed a blue towel in her bag. Dad checked the map on his phone.

We started at nine o'clock. We walked past the bakery on Oak Street. The baker waved at us. We smiled and waved back. We walked slowly because Ana liked photos.

The path turned left after the old bridge. Trees lined the trail. Birds called from the branches above us. We listened to the soft wind in the leaves.

We stopped near a wooden bench. Dad opened the food box. We finished our sandwiches and talked about school.
