We Volunteer at Pet Adoption Day
Today, my friends and I volunteer at the municipal animal shelter. It is Pet Adoption Day, and many families visit the shelter garden.
Sarah helps in the cat room. She brushes a fluffy white kitten. It purrs loudly and plays with a toy mouse. David walks the rescue dogs in the courtyard. He is very patient and speaks gently to them. They wag their tails happily.
At noon, a kind family adopts two small puppies. They sign the adoption papers at the front desk. We are delighted because all the animals find loving homes.
Do you have a pet at home? Would you like to volunteer at an animal shelter?
