His Whistle and Our First Football Match

Today is Saturday, and our local youth team plays its first football tournament match. We meet at the sports ground in our town park.

Our coach, Mr. Reed, blows his loud silver whistle to gather the players. His tactical advice is always clear and encouraging. Our goalkeeper puts on his padded gloves, and the defenders lace their boots. Across the pitch, our opponents stretch their legs and practice their passes.

My mother watches from the sideline with her camera. She cheers loudly for our team. When the referee blows his whistle at the end of the game, our team celebrates a great victory.

Do you play football or another sport? What is your coach's name?
