Last Thursday at the Train Station
I am Mia. Last Thursday I waited for my cousin Leo at Central Station. His train was late, and the waiting room felt busy all afternoon.
I was standing near the information board when the loudspeaker announced a delay. People were reading the screen, but the new time did not appear at first. Did the staff know what happened? Nobody answered my question clearly.
While I was buying tea, Leo sent a message from the train. He was sitting in a carriage without air conditioning because the system was not working. I was walking back to the bench when I saw an old friend from school.
She was carrying a heavy bag while she looked for Platform Six. I was helping her with the bag when Leo called again. He was passing through a tunnel, and the signal was not strong.
