The Discovery of the Hidden Tomb

In 1922, an English explorer named Howard Carter was working in Egypt. He was looking for the lost tomb of King Tutankhamun in the desert. His team was digging in the hot sand every day, but they did not find anything for many years. Was Carter losing hope? Yes, he was running out of time and money.

On the fourth of November, a young Egyptian boy was carrying water for the workers. While he was walking, he saw a stone step under the sand. Carter's team started to dig carefully. They were clearing the dirt when they found a heavy door. They did not open it immediately because they were waiting for Carter's friend, Lord Carnarvon, to arrive from England.

Carnarvon arrived a few weeks later. He was standing next to Carter in the dark.
