I. The House in the Wood

This is a story from a long time ago. There is a big wood. In the wood there is a little house. It is made of wood and stone. It has a green door and two big windows. In front of the house there is a path. Behind the house there are many tall trees.

Three bears live in this house. It is their own house. They live there together.

One bear is little. He is very, very little. He is the Little, Small, Wee Bear.

One bear is not big and not little. He is the Middle Bear.

And one bear is very, very big. He is the Great, Huge Bear.

Each bear has his own voice. The Great, Huge Bear has a great, rough, gruff voice. When he speaks, the windows shake.
