We Went to the City Center Last Saturday
I am Nina. Last Saturday my brother Hugo and I went to the city center with our dad. Mom stayed home because she had work on her laptop.
We took the bus at ten o'clock. Dad bought two tickets at the stop. Hugo wore his blue jacket. I wore my red scarf because the morning felt cold.
When we got off the bus, we saw tall shops and bright signs. A street musician sang near the fountain. People stopped and listened for a minute.
We went into a small café first. Dad bought hot chocolate for Hugo. I drank tea and ate a plain croissant. The waiter came with sugar and spoons.
After that we went to the old bookshop. Hugo found a comic he liked on a low shelf. I found a travel book with photos of rivers.
