A Year in the City I Chose to Call Home

Exactly twelve months ago, I arrived at the central railway station with two heavy suitcases and a mixture of nervous apprehension and eager anticipation. Leaving the tranquil suburban town where I spent my childhood was the most daunting decision of my early adulthood.
