Email to a Friend About My Week
Dear Martin, I hope everything is going smoothly with your new job in Leeds and that you are settling in comfortably. I am writing to catch up after an incredibly hectic but productive week here in Manchester. Between moving into my new studio flat, starting university lectures, and organizing my study schedule, I have barely had a quiet moment to sit down.
Moving into the new flat on Monday was quite an adventure because several parcels arrived earlier than scheduled. The delivery courier left three heavy packages of kitchenware in the downstairs lobby, so I had to pick them up and carry them up three flights of stairs. After unpacking my kitchen pans and dishes, I took out the cardboard boxes and flattened them for recycling.
Later in the week, I had to complete several formal administrative documents for my university registration and student loan.
