Today, we visit the local fire station to interview Tom, a brave firefighter. He tells us about his exciting job and the daily routine of a firefighter on shift.

Reporter: Thank you for meeting us, Tom. What time does your shift start?
Tom: My shift starts at eight o'clock in the morning. I work for twenty-four hours, and then I rest at home for two days.

Reporter: What is the first thing you do when you arrive?
Tom: First, we check our fire truck and our equipment. We make sure the water hoses, ladders, and protective suits are ready for emergencies. Safety is our main priority.

Reporter: Do you have regular classes or training during the day?
Tom: Yes, we do. We study firefighting techniques and practice rescue drills every morning. We must stay strong and smart.

Reporter: What do you do in the afternoon?
