A Saturday at the Animal Sanctuary
My cousin David works as a volunteer at a wild animal sanctuary every Saturday. The sanctuary is a beautiful green place outside the city. It helps hurt wild animals, birds, and forest reptiles. David loves his volunteer job very much and always arrives on time.
In the morning, the volunteers arrive at eight o'clock. First, they clean the big enclosures and prepare fresh food. They feed the birds, the rabbits, and the small foxes. However, they don't touch the big animals like wolves or wild bears. Only the professional doctors feed those animals. The volunteers don't enter those dangerous areas for safety reasons.
David always works with the birds. He has a lot of experience. He checks their wings and gives them clean water. Some birds are very friendly, but others don't like people.
