Questions at Kew's Palm House

Mia visits the Palm House at Kew Gardens. It is a glasshouse. At the door, she meets a guide.

"Does the Palm House have tropical plants?" Mia asks. "Yes, it does," says the guide. "Tropical plants grow here."

Mia looks up at the glass roof. "Does this house feel warm?" she asks. "Yes, it does," says the guide. "The air is warm."

Mia sees a tall palm. "Do palms grow here?" she asks. "Yes, they do." The guide points to the green leaves.

Mia writes one line in her notebook: "The Palm House is an indoor rainforest." Then she asks, "What do you see in the Palm House?" The guide says, "Green leaves and tall palms."

Before she leaves, Mia asks, "Do you like this place?" The guide smiles. "Yes, I do. I work with plants every day."
