We Camped by the Lake in May
I am Sara. Last May my friends and I camped by a small lake two hours from the city centre. We chose the spot because the water looked calm in photos online and the shore seemed wide enough for tents. The area had flat ground for camping and a short path to the water through tall grass and small stones.
For a week we planned meals and checked the weather forecast on our phones every evening after work. Tom borrowed a tent from his cousin and cleaned the poles in his garden behind the house. Anna shopped for fruit, bread, and cheese while I packed a first-aid kit and extra socks in a dry bag. Everyone wanted a quiet weekend without screens, alarms, or long travel plans across the country by train.
