The Birds Will Fly South Soon
The summer is almost over in our green forest. The weather will change very soon. It will become cold, and the brown leaves will fall from the tall trees.
The small birds will fly south to warmer places. They will need a lot of food before their long journey. I think they will start their trip tomorrow morning because the wind is very strong today. We will watch them leave from our kitchen window. They will travel for many days across the dark sea.
We will not see them again until next spring. The winter forest will be very quiet without their beautiful songs. I will put some seeds in the garden for the small animals that stay here. I am sure the birds will return when the weather is warm again.
