Come In, Be Quiet — Our Library Rules
Welcome to the library. Come in and close the door quietly behind you. Do not let the door slam. Remove your coat and hang it on the hook near the entrance. Put your bag on the shelf at the front. Do not bring it to the reading tables.
Walk quietly between the shelves. Do not run. Step carefully around other readers. Speak in a low voice if you need to ask a friend something. Do not shout across the room. Use a whisper. Write your message on a piece of paper if you can.
Look for books on the shelves in alphabetical order by the author's last name. Start with the first letter. Move along the shelf until you find the right section. Use the index cards in the wooden boxes for help.
