A Day at School

I arrive at school at eight o'clock every morning. I leave my bag at the door of the classroom. I sit at my desk near the window. My friend Leo sits at the desk right beside mine.

Our teacher puts new words on the board at the front of the room. She writes in large clear letters. We copy the words in our notebooks. I keep my notebook in the desk drawer when I am done.

At break time, we go out to the yard. Some students sit on the benches in the corner. Others stand at the water fountain near the main building. I usually play near the big tree at the back of the yard.

The library is on the second floor of our school. There are long rows of books on the shelves.
