A Weekend at Grandma's House

My grandmother lives in a village thirty minutes from our town. We visit her on weekends when the weather is good. I love staying at her house because it feels quiet and warm there.

Her house is at the end of a narrow lane. There is a large garden at the front of the house. A wooden gate stands at the entrance to the garden. Apple trees grow on both sides of the path to the front door.

I sleep in the small bedroom at the top of the stairs. There is a window in this room that looks out onto the garden. I put my bag on the chair in the corner when I arrive. I keep my things on the shelf next to the bed during my stay.

In the morning, my grandmother makes breakfast in the kitchen.
