What We Can See at Giant's Causeway
The Giant's Causeway is a breathtaking geological wonder located on the rugged coast of Northern Ireland. Thousands of nature lovers visit this famous heritage landmark every year.
When you walk along the coastal cliff paths, you can see about forty thousand interlocking basalt hexagonal columns rising from the sea. You can walk carefully across the flat stone pillars, and you can touch the dark volcanic rock. From the viewing platform, visitors can photograph seabirds nesting on the ocean cliffs.
However, park rangers enforce strict safety rules. Tourists can't climb on wet rocks during stormy weather, and you can't remove ancient stones from the protected reserve.
Can you walk long distances along coastal paths? Would you like to visit this volcanic wonder?
