Holiday Memories from Last Summer

Last summer my family rented a cottage near the coast for two weeks in August. We wanted rest, sea air, and long evenings without alarm clocks. The village was small, the bakery opened early, and fishermen were mending nets on the harbour wall each morning.

On our first day we were unpacking while seagulls were calling above the red roof. My daughter was running on the beach and was collecting smooth stones in her bucket. I was not worried about work because I left my laptop at home on purpose.

During the second week we explored cliffs on foot. The path was narrow in places, and wind was blowing strongly from the west. We were stopping often to take photos while waves were crashing against dark rocks below.

One afternoon we joined a local festival in the square.
