A Rainy Sunday When We Stayed Inside
I am Lara. I live with my parents and my younger brother Noah in a flat above a bakery. Last Sunday it rained from morning until evening, so we stayed inside and turned a quiet day into something comfortable.
Mom baked bread early while the street smelled like wet pavement. Dad read the news at the kitchen table and prepared soup for lunch. Noah searched for a board game we had not opened since winter, and I helped him find the missing dice under the sofa.
We played two rounds before noon and laughed when Dad lost his tokens near the end. Mom joined for the third game and won with surprising luck. After that we cleared the table and listened to music while rain tapped the windows.
In the afternoon I called my grandmother on the phone.
