We Looked Through Our Holiday Photos Again
I am Kate. My family returned from a week in the Lake District two months ago, but yesterday evening we opened the photo folder on the laptop and looked through the pictures again. Dad made tea while Mom found the map we used during the trip.
Our holiday began on a rainy Monday when we drove north in our small car with bags packed in the boot. We stopped once for fuel and twice for snacks because my sister Lily felt hungry on long roads. The hills grew taller as we left the motorway and followed narrow lanes toward our guesthouse.
We walked around a lake on the first full day and took photos of boats near the pier. Lily fed ducks with bread crumbs while Dad read a guidebook on a bench.
