Our Neighbor Moved In Two Weeks Ago
I am Finn. Our new neighbor Ms Ortiz moved into the flat above us two weeks ago. Since then the building feels louder, friendlier, and a little different in small ways we notice each day.
Two weeks ago a white van stopped outside our door on a Tuesday morning. Workers carried boxes up the stairs while Ms Ortiz checked labels in the hall. Last month the flat stood empty for three weeks after the old tenant left for work abroad.
Two weeks ago my mom baked a loaf of bread and left it at Ms Ortiz's door with a welcome note. Yesterday Ms Ortiz returned the plate with a jar of honey from her hometown. Last weekend we spoke for ten minutes on the landing about bus routes and the bakery on Church Street.
