A Letter About Last Monday at Work

Dear Aunt Clara,

Thank you for your letter that arrived last Friday. You asked about my new office job, so I want to describe last Monday because it showed what a normal week looks like now.

Last Monday I woke at six thirty and left the house before seven. Two weeks ago I still arrived late twice, but last Monday the bus came on time and I reached the desk at eight. My manager smiled and said the morning reports were ready on the shared screen.

Last Monday our team held a short meeting in the small room with glass walls. One month ago I felt too shy to speak, yet last Monday I explained a problem with a client file and suggested a simple fix. My colleague Jae said the idea saved time later that day.
