We Didn't Finish Everything Yesterday
I am Ben. I share a house with two friends, Alex and Priya. Yesterday we planned a busy day of cleaning, shopping, and cooking for guests. In the evening we sat in the kitchen and talked about what we did and didn't finish.
Alex didn't vacuum the stairs before noon. Priya didn't wash the bathroom mirror because she didn't find the spray. I didn't fold all the laundry on the chair in my room. We didn't finish every task on the list, but we didn't panic.
Did Alex buy vegetables at the market? Yes, he did, but he didn't buy enough tomatoes. Did Priya remember the olive oil? No, she didn't remember it. Did I check the guest room sheets? Yes, I did, and they looked clean.
We didn't cook soup for dinner yesterday. Priya didn't chop onions because Alex didn't bring tomatoes.
