The Hotel Receptionist Asked Many Questions

I am Daniel. Last week I stayed at a small hotel near the airport for one night before an early flight. The receptionist asked polite questions when I checked in after ten o'clock.

Did you book a room online? Yes, I did, two days earlier. Did you receive a confirmation email? Yes, I did, and I showed it on my phone. Did you travel from another city today? Yes, I did, from Manchester by train.

The receptionist typed my name and didn't rush the process. Did you want a quiet room? Yes, I did, away from the lift. Did you prefer a double or single bed? I chose a single bed because I didn't travel with a partner.

Did you need a wake-up call? Yes, I did, for five thirty in the morning.
