Diary Notes After the Language Exam

Tuesday, 14 May

I am Nina. Today I finished my A2 English exam at the community college. I feel tired, but I want to write a few honest lines before I forget the details.

I didn't sleep well last night because I didn't stop thinking about the listening section. Did I eat breakfast before I left home? Yes, I did, toast and tea. Did my bus arrive late? No, it didn't, which surprised me.

In the waiting room I didn't talk much. Did other students look nervous? Yes, many of them did. Did the examiner explain the rules clearly? Yes, she did, and she didn't rush us.

The reading part didn't feel impossible. Did I understand the email about a gym membership? Yes, I did. Did I miss one question about opening hours? Yes, I did, because I didn't read the second paragraph carefully.
