My First Day at Work: What I Have to Remember
I am Omar. I started my first part-time job at a bookshop near the station last Saturday. The manager Ms Reed gave me a short list of things I have to remember. She said every new worker must read it before the shop opens.
I have to arrive ten minutes early and sign the staff sheet at the desk. I must wear the green apron and my name badge on the left side. I must not eat or drink at the counter where customers pay for books.
Ms Reed said I have to greet every customer with a smile. I should ask if they need help finding a title or author. I must not use my phone when people are waiting in line. Staff have to stay polite even on busy mornings.
