House Rules My Roommate Sent by Email
I am Priya. I moved into a shared flat last month, and my roommate Tom sent me an email with house rules before I arrived. He said we should read it together on my first evening. The message explained what we must do to keep the flat clean and calm.
Tom wrote that we have to take off shoes in the hallway. We must not leave bags blocking the door. He said guests should visit during daytime hours when possible. Both of us must lock the main door when we go out.
In the kitchen Tom listed simple habits. We should wash dishes on the same day we use them. We must not leave food open on the counter overnight. We have to label food in the fridge with our names and dates.
